Assignment Information:
Research the following subtopics of the United States Revolution
and use inspiration to make a story map or outline of the information.
Use the internet, computer encyclopedia and books from the library.
(Due March 5)
Subtopics
Stamp Act and the Boston Tea Party (why they
are related)
First Continental Congress
Paul Revere's ride
Early battles before the Declaration of Independence
Second Continental Congress
Declaration of Independence (include 4th of July)
Continental Army and George Washington
Winter at Valley Forge
Select 2 or 3 battles during the war
Describe 2 or 3 key people (not already mentioned)
Treaty of Paris
Use Timeliner to make a timeline of these people
or events
Write a report using this information.
Each subtopic should have at least one paragraph, but more may be
necessary.
Type it on Word.
Make a diorama, with clay or construction paper,
of some part of the Revolutionary War. Take a digital picture
of it (Mr. Prince will provide time). (Needs to be
completed by March 14)
Make a cover page for your report on Word.
It should have the title, date, Room 21, your name, and the digital
picture.
Make a Powerpoint presentation involving one
of the 11 subtopics listed earlier. It should have at least
3 slides with animation (only use appropriate sound).

Make a bibliography. Use at least 3 resources.
Do everything for a "3"
Import two or more Revolutionary War era pictures
or drawings into your final written report. Print on a color printer.
Number your pages and make a table of contents.
Also, each subtopic should have it's own chapter.
Powerpoint has 5 slides; instead of, 3
Write a historical fiction story (no time travel)
with a setting during the Revolutionary War time period. Some
of the characters need to be real people from that time period,
but the main character should be fictional. It needs to be
realistic fiction.

All computer work needs to be done at school. Use and plan your
