Assignment Information:
The assignment is to do a report on a famous man or woman in one of the various fields of science.  Tell what they did for science, when they lived, and a little about their background.  Tell what you learned about the person (character traits, personality, etc.)  This is to be an oral report given by you to the class.   You may use paper or note cards for you presentation.  Length will vary according to the topic--4 or 5 minutes.  Direct copying is not acceptable; a "C" or lower will result.  Give a bibliography at the end of the report--name the sources used, page numbers, copyright date, etc.  Visual aids must be used--diagrams, pictures, charts, models, timelines (15 items in the timeline) etc.   Use 3 information sources.  One MUST be a non-encyclopedia (reference of biography).  A copy of this assignment is available at the FH and FA reference desks.
