Assignment Information:
Second graders are beginning the study of the five senses. Children should do
a report on any related topic that interests them. This will give them the
opportunity to learn and practice how to do research, write a report and share information
on their topic with the class. Children will be working on gathering some
information during scheduled library time. They may use information received at
school, books from the Farmington Library (who is aware of this project and have set aside
books), encyclopedias, computers or any other resource available to them. The goal
is for children to learn to find information, record it, and then present it to the class
in their own words. In the past students have used posters, booklets, models, etc.
to share information with the class. They may be as creative as they like!Suggested

related to the eye.
