Latin America Postcard Project

Assignment Information:
You will embark on a journey that will take you South of the
Border to Mexico, Central America, and South America. The following is a brief
itenerary or guide to help you follow along and stay focused on your expedition. Begin
by reading about and researching your country. Each group is responsible for having the
required topic areas fully researched. These topic areas are listed on the attached
sheets. Each person in the group must perform an equal part in gathering research facts to
share with your partners. The attached sheets will be used to record research facts and
later turned in for evaluation.
Postcard poster
You will be asked to create a giant postcard from your country to send to
other classmates at Power. Using the research you may decide to describe a bull fight,
ancient ruins, food, festIvals, sporting events, occupations, the culture of the
people or
other Ideas not listed. Be sure to use proper postage from your country. Your
postcard should show evidence of research and team collaboration. |

will find several general books and travel guides on many of the Latin American countries
that can be checked out. Ask the librarians to show you how you can use InfoTrac
Seacrchbank, our online database of periodical articles. There will be many articles
on these countries. This can also be accessed from home with a MetroNet account. The
Information File may also have pictures and information on sights of interest. |
