Moonbeams

Moonbeams
dance across my face.
Moonbeams dancing in every place.
Dancing all the around the town,
Giving them a silver crown.
Fluttering past windows where chidren sleep.
All across the town they creep.
Moonbeams fluttering through my hair.
Imagining flying round with them
I feel I'm floating off the ground
And then I'm away from the ground
Out my window into the night
With the moonbeams I take flight
Flying through the night with flair
I feel that I'm as light as air.
I look down and notice the fact
that I'm a moonbeam! How about that?
And looking searching for more faces
I see some people of all races
As we fly along together
Watching all the kinds of weather
Pass us by as light as a feather
We pass them by and then we fly
Back to our home.
In all the countries far and wide,
Back to our bed sides.
Climb back in, materialize
And have dreams of being moonbeams,
Flying in the sky.
Confessions of a Dragonrider Addict

Ok, I admit it. I'm addicted to the Dagonriders of Pern book
series. I can recite every thing. Hold, Hall, and Weyr. I can tell you the
dragon of almost every rider. I need several hours a day of dragonrider RP
or else I get a stomachache and a yearing feeling. Does anyone else have a

Baby-sitting
is a Dangerous Job

This book is about a girl named Darcy . Darcy gets a baby-sitting
job for three kids , the oldest is Jeremy , the middle kid is Melissa , and
the youngest is Shana . On Darcy's first day for the job a man had come to
the door saying he was from the gas company and he had to check all the houses
for leakes . But when Darcy didn't open the door and asked for ID the man
left . The next time she baby sat the alarm goes off and she found out some
one had tried to brake in the garage door . Later on she found out who ever
was doing all that came back and did not fail of getting in the house getting
what they wanted . Which was them . Darcy found out it was them mendoing this
.Will Darcy save herself and the kids ? Or will the three men get what they
want with them ?
It was an awesome book , every chapter was so exciteding I didn't want to
put the book down .

This book is about a chief's son who was taken from his family and sold as a slave. On his journey trying to get home he meats new friends, and new enemies. Will he be a slave for the rest of his life? Read this book to find out what happens.
I enjoy this book because it was sad, but in the end it turns out really good.

Hostage

This book is about a girl named Kaci. Kaci has an allergy attack at school for some reason. She's not supposed to have them because she takes shots once a week so she won't. But she did have one (allergy attack) and was sent home to get something to help it stop. And that is how she was home in the middle of the day when three men did not think anyone would be home. The men kidnapped her and her old, nosy neighbor and held them hostage! Kaci finds out the men are planning to kill them when they don't need the hostages anymore. Well, that's all I can tell you now so read the book to answer these questions yourself. What will Kaci do when one man comes at her with a knife and all she has is a glue pack and lunch from school? And will the police be able to save them somehow?

Homeless Bird

The homeless Bird is a great book . It is about Koly , a teenager who lives in India about 100 years ago . Koly lives with her poor family , her maa ,{mother } baap , { father }and two brothers .Her family is too poor to feed her so they decide to look for a husband for her so she could go ang live with him . When they find a husband they don't realize the twelve year old she's supposed to marryis dieing and is only wanted for her dowry { the money a brides family gives the grooms family when they marry }. After the wedding Koly is never allowed to see Hari , her husband . Then one day while her mother-in-law is in the village shopping she sneaks in . When her mother-in-law returns and see's her with Hari she punishes her and hates her from then on . Koly has to live with a dieing husband , a horrible mother-in-law and a mean father-in-law . Will she survive ? I hope you read on to find out what happens .

Howl's
Moving Castle

The land of Ingary is a magical place. One of their main problems is the Witch
of the Waste. She has been quiet for a long time and it is rumored that she
will soon return to terrorize Ingary. When a moving black castle is spotted
on the horizon, people fear the worst. They soon realize that the castle does
not belong to the Witch of the Waste but to the evil wizards Howl, who eats
young girls' souls. When the Witch of the Waste curses Sophie hatter, she
leaves home. While wandering, she comes across Howl's castle. After meeting
Howl and his fire demon, she finds out that Howl is not the kind of person
people think he is and that he is also under a spell. Can Sophie figure out
how to save Howl and get rid of her own curse? I really liked this book. I
would recommend it for grades 7 and up. It was really good.

Princess
in the Spotlight

This is the sequel to the Princess Diaries (which I reviewed last year). If
you didn't read that, it was basically about a girl named Mia who finds out
that she is a princess. In Princess, in the spotlight, Mia has her first interview
on national TV. During the interview, she manages to make her best friend
mad and get a teacher in trouble. If that wasn't enough, her mom is marrying
her Algebra teacher and having a baby, and Mia discovers she has a secret
admirer. Who could it be?
Personally, I liked the Princess Diaries better, but I think you should read
them and decide for yourself.

Survival
Swamp

This book is about Lilly an Indian type girl and Paul , a rich ,white boy
. They both were young and lived in separate homes with there familys . They
also both lived in a swamp named " Bayou Teche " . They both lived
on a big farm like place only Paul's family's farm was bigger than Lilly's
, but Paul's family's farm had slaves working for them but Lilly's family's
farm didn't they all did all the work themselves in . Paul has two mean older
brothers , William and Mark they are both twins . And Paul has one nice brother
named John but he was pretty much all grown up . Paul was nice to Lilly and
her family but Paul's whole family even his mom and dad hated all lesser familys
, mainly the Indian ones like Lilly's family . William and Mark played tricks
on Lilly . One time Paul told on William and Mark for playing a trick on Lilly
and then William and Mark got in trouble . They got mad at Paul . So they
took Paul into a boat and then Wiliiam and Mark rowed and rowed until night
.Then they dropped Paul off on an island and rowed away and got lost themselves
. Pauls family sent out search party's but Lilly knew none would find Paul
. She didn't care about Pauls brothers because of the way they treated her
. Lilly's family did not like the familys who treated them bad so they did
not care about the three lost boys . So Lilly set out by herself to find Paul
. Now Lilly , Paul , William ,and Mark have to battle deadly snakes and huge
alligator-infested streams .
It was an awesome book . Very , very scary , and cool . I hope all of you
read it .

Witch
Hunt

As soon as Abby goes to her new summer home, she knows there is something
creepy about it. And boy is she right. First there is a boy dressed as a person
from the 16 hundreds. Soon after that she finds him lurking around her house.
Soon enough she catches him and finds out he is from the 16 hundreds! He tells
She was hung for supposedly practicing witchcraft. Soon after he appears,
another person appears. This time a not so nice one. First Abby gets pushed
into a wall then threatened with a knife. Soon after that Abby finds herself
going into a new time. The year of 1693! Now she herself gets to meet Felicity
Crane right before Felicity is dragged off to be hanged. What is going to
happen next? Will Felicity be saved? What will happen to Abby? This story
mostly takes place in 1963. It is 230 pages and a very good book. I give it:

I can't believe it! Summer break is already over. It went so fast! It seems
like the last day of the 2000/2001 school year was just last week. Where did
summer go?
I had a great summer. I read a lot and went places with my friends. I also
went to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Blue Lake was a lot of fun. I made a lot
of new friends. I went for cello. We had classes daily.
What I really enjoyed during the summer was sleeping in and no homework. I
also enjoyed participating in the Young Adult Reading Program.
All in all, I had a great summer. I hope everyone else did too!
